Our visit to the National Space Centre

This term our topic is space. We have been learning about Neil Armstrong and how he landed on the moon. As part of our learning we visited the National Space Centre. We had lots of fun learning about the different planets in our solar system, asteroids, space travel and much more! Please have a look at our photos and leave us a comment!

World book day and rockets

We have had fun this week making rockets as part of our topic on space. We also dressed up for World Book Day in our pyjamas or as a character from a book and enjoyed hot chocolate and marshmallows while enjoying many great stories!

Portraits,making pancakes, skeletons and Bee-bots

We have been very busy in year 1 over the last couple of weeks. We have been looking at our bodies and how we all have a skeleton. It was really fun making the characters from Funny Bones! We have been drawing our own portraits using a range of art tools and also having lots of fun making and eating pancakes! In ICT this week we have been learning how to make the Bee-bots move and go under a tunnel!

Pancakes and much more!! on PhotoPeach

We have been very busy! In maths we have been grouping objects in twos, as well as looking at measures. We have been putting pictures in the order of height and size. We have been talking about our show and tell and have been creating exciting patterns on the computers using different shapes and colours.
